Voco Oxford Thames Wedding Photographer - Tamara and Rob

The Voco Oxford Thames Hotel wedding of Tamara and Rob, who got married in October 2022.

A riverside wedding in Oxford in the Autumn

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for our stunning photos - sat crying going through them all now! Cannot thank you both enough,
— Tamara and Rob

In October 2022 we had the privilege of photographing Tamara and Rob’s stunning wedding at one of our favourite venues, the Voco Oxford Thames Hotel. The Voco is a large Thames-side hotel, with large gardens and plenty of room for guests to enjoy drinks and canapes at a lovely riverside location. Unlike many hotels, the Voco Oxford Thames doesn’t feel like a large hotel wedding venue; instead your wedding feels like a dedicated wedding venue, which of course it is! From the stunning Little Barn (where Tamara and Rob got married), through to the light and airy conservatory style reception room, and the outdoor licensed Garden Pavilion, The Voco Oxford Thames provided a dedicated wedding venue experience, with the added benefit of being a full featured hotel for you and your wedding guests to stay once the partying is over. Add to this attentive, friendly and professional staff, who let us work in our way without trying to control what we do, then all together the Voco Oxford Thames really is a lovely place to get married, and for to photograph a wedding!

On their big day, Tamara and Rob both got ready for their big day at the Voco. As usual Sam took care of bridal preparation photography (and extra bridesmaid support!) whilst I photographed the guys getting ready. One of the best things about photographing weddings at the Voco Oxford Thames is there usually is a toastmaster providing logistical support and event management. This time we had the pleasure of working again with Andy Earl. The ceremony took place in the Little Barn which had been beautifully decorated by Inspired Hire Weddings. The couple also had some beautiful flowers provided by Regency Flowers.

One of Rob’s groomsmen has a classic Mustang car which made a great backdrop for some couple portraits. Though their wedding was in October, the lawn at the back of the hotel was still recovering from the excessive drought conditions in the summer, as you can see in our drone photo of the whole wedding party!

A highlights for us of the evening was some beautiful jazz vocals from Amy Baker, who has a wonderful voice. Tamara and Rob also had some unusual evening entertainment: laser clay shooting! Provided by Oxfordshire Outdoor Pursuits this was a lot of fun and a great hit with their guests, even if we were pretty useless at hitting the targets ourselves!

We loved photographing another wedding at the Voco Oxford Thames and are looking forward to working there several times again in 2023. Thanks so much to Tamara and Rob for having us as their wedding photographers.

Below is a selection of their photos.

Caswell House Wedding Photographer - Lauren and Dean

The Caswell House wedding of Lauren and Dean. Cotswolds wedding photography by award winning Oxfordshire wedding photographers Sam and Steve Photography

A Cotswolds wedding in the spring sunshine

The photos are absolutely brilliant, thank you again so much for capturing our special day.
— Dean and Lauren

It was lovely to be back at Caswell House, one of our favourite wedding venues, for the wedding of Lauren and Dean. Caswell House is a gorgeous Cotswolds wedding venue; on the edge of Witney, Oxfordshire, it offers an exclusive use wedding venue. Parts of Caswell House date back to 1485, and today this lovely Cotwolds wedding venue consists of an L-shaped layout, with the longest site being a indoor barn for a ceremony and/or wedding breakfast, whilst the smaller side is a bar and sitting area. Caswell House also has two, well separated areas for both a bride and a groom to get ready. There is also on site accommodation.

This was our first visit to Caswell House since the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, and it was delightful to see the gardens and lawn area looking better than ever. Sam, as usual, started her day with the bride, Lauren getting ready with her bridesmaids, whilst I met up with Dean and the guys in the old stables. Lauren and Dean were blessed with a beautiful day, and so opted to have their ceremony outside. As is normal for us, Sam and I stayed photographing through the day until an hour after first dance; looking for special candid moments whilst of course making sure we provided the couple and their family with the more formal shots as required. It was also wonderful to work with Rebecca, the Wedding Coordinator for the day, who made sure everything ran smoothly, and was great fun on the day.

We loved photographing Lauren and Dean’s wedding and meeting their lovely family and guests. Here are some of the photos from their big day.

Buckinghamshire Railway Centre Wedding Photography - Jack and Kate

The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre and Waddesdon Church wedding of Kate and Jack. Buckinghamshire wedding photography by Sam and Steve Photography, award winning wedding photographers based in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

A Spring wedding in a Buckinghamshire country church and a unique wedding venue

Amazing pictures! Thank you both so much! We really love them!
— Kate and Jack

We photographed Kate and Jack’s wedding at St Michael and All Angels Church, Waddesdon, followed by a reception at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre in April 2022. Another wedding rescheduled due to the pandemic, it was wonderful that they were able to finally get married, and what a wonderful early Spring day they had for their big day.

Kate got ready at her parent’s home in Quainton, Buckinghamshire, where we had previously photographed their pre wedding shoot back in February.

A engaged to be married couple walking in Quainton Buckinghamshire. Photo by Sam and Steve Photography

Jack and Kate’s pre-wedding shoot in Quainton, Buckinghamshire.

As usual, Sam was assigned the task of photographing Kate and her bridesmaids getting ready. As well as photographing make up being applied and hair being done, Sam always looks for those special important moments; as in the photo below, when Kate’s parents first saw her in her wedding dress.

Steve went to the venue, to meet Jack and his groomsmen. He photographed their final preparations, including those all important button holes, before joining the guys and their wedding guests on a vintage London bus provided by Alphabus.

The bus took us the short journey to the famous Buckinghamshire village of Waddesdon (famed for the Rothchild Manor House), and to the lovely country church of St. Michael and All Angels. This is a beautiful church with fantastic light inside (see the photos below). Kate arrived at the church in a gorgeous vintage car, provided by the great team at Allerston Taylor, whom we meet so often at weddings - they are such a lovely team and a pleasure to work with!

A bride arriving in a vintager car for her wedding at Waddesdon Church

Reverend Caroline Wainman led the service for Kate and Jack’s wedding. She was an absolute pleasure to work with as photographers; she realised that as experienced professional photographers we had a job to do, but also we were respectful of the service and the key religious aspects. We never photograph during prayers, and even sing the hymns if we know them!

After the lovely service, and their confetti run (one of the few things we orchestrate on the wedding day), Jack and Kate made their way to the Railway Centre, whilst their guests got back aboard the bus for their transport to the venue.

A bride and groom in confetti at Waddesdon Church

The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is a wonderful place for a wedding. It is a railway museum operated by the Quainton Railway Society Ltd. at Quainton Road railway station. Formerly part of the Metropolitan Railway, it was closed for passenger traffic in 1966. These days it is a fascinating museum, with steam trains running at special times. The station build itself is a light, airy space, ideal for photos, and full of interesting train memorabilia.

The wedding schedule allowed time for guests to explore the museum, and to take a short ride on a steam train. The groom Jack also got the opportunity to ride at the footplate at the train controls!

Jack and Kate’s wedding was a fantastic wedding to photograph and we were delighted the couple chose us to be their photographers. We are looking forward to photographing Kate’s sister Claire’s wedding to Alex in April 2023.

Here are some of their photos.

Oxford Wedding Photography - Debbie and Henry

The St. Martin’s Church Bladon wedding of Debbie and Henry, followed by a marquee reception.

Bladon church ceremony followed by a marquee reception

A bride and groom after their wedding at Bladon Church
We cannot put into words just how amazing Sam and Steve were, not only for our wedding day, but also for before and after our wedding.
— Debbie and Henry

Debbie and Henry’s lovely summer wedding in 2021 had a touch of deja vu for us; we had previously photographed her sister Becky’s wedding to Andy back in 2019. This time, the wedding took place in Bladon Church; Bladon is a small Oxfordshire village near Woodstock, on the edge of the Blenheim Palace estate. The church is well known as the place where Winston Churchill is buried.

Debbie got ready with her sister and the other bridesmaids at her parents home near Islip, Oxford.

A bride getting ready for her wedding

I dropped Sam off to photograph the bride and bridesmaids getting ready before moving on to Bladon. The couple live within a short walk of the church. I photographed Henry getting ready with his best man (his father), before walking down to the church with the groomsmen, to get in position for the wedding. A key member of the wedding party was their dog, who wore a fetching bow tie.

During the church ceremony, I was able to be at the front but out of sight in a choir stall, whilst Sam photographed from the rear of the church. Understandably, the vicar wanted us to remain in situ for the ceremony.

The couple provided a large bag full of dried petals for confetti, so we had lots of opportunities for confetti photos.

Plenty of dried flower confetti!

As Henry is a tree surgeon by trade, his groomsmen gave the couple a guard of honour of chain saws as they came out of the church! Without the chains of course.

We love lots of confetti for the confetti run photos!

After confetti, I went with the couple and the dog to a nearby field for some portraits of the three of them, whilst Sam went with the guests on a coach to the family home, for their marquee reception.

We love photographing a marquee wedding, especially at a family location! The informality of it is ideal for our style of photography, and we can mingle with guests for our documentary style photos.

After drinks and some group photos, Debbie and Henry were applauded into the marquee for the wedding breakfast. Speeches were before food, which was a choice of freshly prepared paellas.

After the couple cut their cake, Andy, Debbie’s brother in law held a tombola draw, with some hilarious prizes, including a tin of beans and a life size cardboard cut out of David Hasselhoff!

David Hasselhoff made a special guest appearance!

We took the chance to take a few golden hour portraits of the couple as the sun went down, before the first dance and then full on partying!

It was a great privilege to photograph Debbie and Henry’s fantastic wedding, and we were delighted that shortly afterwards, Cameron, Debbie (and Becky’s!) brother booked us for his wedding to Kathryn in October 2022 at Lains Barn. Thanks so much for having us guys!

The Voco Oxford Thames, and Radley Church, Abingdon, wedding of Gemma and Thomas. Oxfordshire wedding photography by Sam and Steve Photography

A summer wedding at an Oxford riverside hotel

A bride and groom portrait in the gardens of Voco Oxford Thames Hotel
Wow! These are absolutely incredible! You guys are truly very talented!
— Gemma and Thomas

In July 2021 we had the pleasure of being the wedding photographers for Gemma and Thomas wedding at Radley Church, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire, with a reception at Voco Oxford Thames Hotel. As usual, our day started with Sam covering Gemma’s preparation at her family home, whilst Steve was with Thomas and his family. The couple had a lovely church wedding at Radley church, and departed in a gorgeous classic car for their venue, stopping of with us at some local fields for some couple portraits before heating on to their reception at Voco Oxford Thames.

Voco Oxford Thames is a high quality Oxford Hotel to the south of the city. It is ideally located on the side of the River Thames, with lovely grounds and gardens that lead down to the river. There are gorgeous gardens, ideal for bride and groom portraits as in the photo of Gemma and Thomas above. The hotel is part of the IHG group, and is fully licensed for wedding ceremonies, which means couples can have their whole wedding day at the hotel, and they and their guests can stay the night in a top quality hotel. We have photographed weddings a number of times at Voco Oxford Thames, and thoroughly recommend it as a wedding venue. The staff are attentive and professional, there are plenty of places for photos and you can book a toast master/master of ceremonies to ensure your day goes to plan. As Oxfordshire wedding photographers, we are pleased to be recommended suppliers for 2022.

As always, we photographed Gemma and Thomas in an unobtrusive, relaxed informal way, as well as of course capturing some group photos and portraits of the couple. We stayed well into the evening, after the couples first dance, to capture some candid photos of the couple and their guests enjoying the late evening light in July.

Here are a selection of photographs from Gemma and Thomas’s Voco Oxford Thames wedding.

A country house hotel wedding near Milton Keynes

The photographs are stunning and we can’t wait to share them with our family and friends!
— Jacqui and Louie

It was great to photograph Jacqui and Louie’s wedding in July 2021.

Like so many couples, Jacqui and Louie had to re-arrange their wedding from 2020 due to the pandemic, and, as we did with all our couples in similar situations, we worked proactively with them and their venue to find a new date in 2021. Their wedding took place at Horwood House Hotel, a lovely country house hotel between Buckingham and Milton Keynes. This was a new venue to us to photograph at. For this reason, Steve met the couple several months beforehand for a pre-wedding shoot at the venue to check out the lighting, places for portraits, and to talk through some basic posing ideas with both Jacqui and Louie.

On the day, Samantha started her day with Jacqui at the hotel for her bridal preparation, whilst Steve went to their home in Aylesbury to start with Louie. One of the grooms friends owns a Ferrari, and this was used to transport Louie to the venue; the groomsmen’s dressed Louie up as an Arab Sheik for the journey!

The ceremony took place in one of the hotel’s main function rooms, with drinks, canapés and group photos all taking place outside on the hotel lawn.

Horwood House Wedding Photography Jacqui and Louie (23 of 51).jpg

We took the couple around the hotel grounds for some portraits, before their wedding breakfast, the highlight of which was a surprise appearance by The Undercover Waiters, who gave a great 30 minute set before the speeches.

Horwood House Wedding Photography Jacqui and Louie (35 of 51).jpg

After dinner, we had a short walk outside with the couple to capture some nice evening light, before heading back for their first dance.

Restrictions at the time meant that limited dancing was allowed, but everyone still made sure the party went with a full swing.

Dovecote Events Wedding Photographer - Lisa and Robin

Oxfordshire rustic barn wedding venue near to Banbury

A bride and groom in front of a dramatic sky at Dovecote Events, by Sam and Steve Photography

Lisa and Robin’s wedding took place in early June 2021 at Dovecote Events, Adderbury, near Banbury. The barn at Dovecote is one of our favourite places to photograph, and we are recommended suppliers there. As we are Oxfordshire wedding photographers based in Bicester, its also very local to us! Dovecote Barn is a proper country rustic barn for your wedding, either for the whole day (including the ceremony) or just for your reception. It’s a family business based at Bo Peep Farm, just between Aynho and Banbury, and convenient for couples based in Bicester, Banbury, Oxford, or any location easily accessible to the M40 and A43. An exclusive use venue, Dovecote Events can also provide a marquee, or the permanently installed Tipi for your wedding. The Tipi is a great place for a summer wedding, as we found out for Ken and Mel’s wedding (see more of that lovely day here).

Lisa and Robin got married and had their wedding reception in the gorgeous Grade II listed barn, with its oak beams, exposed brick work and twinkling fairy lights. They also added colourful uplighters and giant LOVE letters at the back of the barn, supplied by our good friend (and previous guest on our Podcast) Terry from Smooth Moves Events. Lisa got ready with her mother and bridesmaid at a lovely barn B&B in a small village near Banbury, Monastery Barn. As usual, Sam was on hand to take Lisa preparation photos, as well as to lend a hand as a “extra bridesmaid”.

I met Rob at the popular Whately Hall Hotel in central Banbury, for photos of him and his best man getting ready.

Dovecote Events Wedding Photography Lisa and Rob (59 of 580).jpg

At the time of their wedding, Covid restrictions required masks to be worn during the ceremony and they were limited to 30 guests.

Their service therefore was short, as required, but that meant they and their guests had lots of time to catch up over a drink and some nibbles! Lisa and Rob has a fabulous Rolls Royce for their wedding car, which of course we took some photos of them, both inside and outside the car.

Dovecote Events Wedding Photography Lisa and Rob (277 of 580).jpg

After a few group photos on the lawn by the barn, the couple and their guests went inside for their wedding breakfast and speeches.

After their speeches, we took Lisa and Rob into the adjacent field to the venue to capture some portraits in the late summer evening sun.

Our final task was to photograph a sparkler line for Lisa and Rob as they made their way from the wedding at the end of their special day.

It was an absolute pleasure to be Lisa and Rob’s wedding photographers for their special day at the Barn at Dovecote Events. We will be back at this gorgeous venue soon, and we can’t wait!

Stratton Court Barn Wedding Photographer - Emma and Simon

The Stratton Court Barn wedding of Emma and Simon. A rustic Oxfordshire barn wedding near Bicester in the September sunshine

An outdoor wedding at an Oxfordshire rustic barn location

A bride and groom laughing at Stratton Court Barn, near Bicester

We photographed the lovely Stratton Court Barn Wedding of Emma and Simon, on a sunny September day in 2019. It is always a priviledge to photograph at this lovely Oxfordshire barn location; not least in that it is just three miles from our Bicester home! Stratton Court Barn is a gorgeous rustic location to host a wedding. Set in the Oxfordshire countryside, but convenient also for Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, Stratton Court is a sole use wedding venue, fully licenced for wedding ceremonies. As well as the large ceremony room, that can seat 90 guests, there is also a separate bar and lounge area for the wedding guests to have a drink, and of course for the post wedding dancing. When you add in the dedicated bridal preparation room and the lovely gardens and fields surrounding the venue, Stratton Court really is a perfect place to get married in Oxfordshire.

Stratton Court Barn Wedding Venue, Near Bicester

For Emma and Simon’s big day, the weather gods smiled on them, and they were able to have their wedding ceremony and their wedding breakfast outside on the courtyard of the barn. We know Emma and Simon well, as friends, whom we got to know at a local pub. In addition Ness (one of Emma’s bridesmaids) and Sean, who run the wonderful Chilterns pub The Blackwood Arms, are also good friends, who gave us good advice when we ran a pub several years ago. Emma’s other bridesmaid Louise we also know well (she also runs a pub; the Red Lion, Penn!)

A Bride and Bridesmaids having fun at Stratton Court Barn, Near Bicester

As usual, Sam’s day started with bride and bridesmade preparation at Emma and Simon’s home. In my case, I was with Simon and his best man at a Turkish barbers in Bicester! (I made a mental note never to have my ears and nose waxed - ouch!).

I arrived at Stratton Court with Simon to photograph his family and guests arriving. Sam arrived with Emma and the bridesmaids. I photographed the ceremony from the front and to the side, including the part when the couple have to step in side to do the legal part of the ceremony (due to the arcane licencing laws in the UK). Sam as normal was stationed at the back of proceeding, to be in pole position for the first kiss photo and the couples recessional.

Karin, the wonderful wedding co-ordinator at Stratton Court Barn and her team did a great job of ensuring Emma and Simon’s guests were well supplied with drinks and canapes. After a few group photos in the nice garden area, we joined the wedding party for a wonderful ourdoor sit down meal. The courtyard at Stratton Court Barn is perfect for an outdoor wedding breakfast. After some amusing speeches, the bride and groom enjoyed mingling with their guests in the summer evening sun, before the partying and dancing started. As always, we stayed well into the evening to capture the dancing, as well as a sparkler run.

Thanks so much to Emma and Simon for having us along, and also to Karin and her team, whom we always enjoy working with.

Here is a selection of some of our documentary wedding photos from the day.

If you are looking for an Oxfordshire wedding barn location then Stratton Court Barn should be at the top of your list. Cotswolds Hotel and Spa Wedding Photography-Daisy and Luke

A spring wedding at the lovely Cotwolds Hotel and Spa, Chipping Norton. Cotswolds Wedding Photography by Sam and Steve Photography

A Spring 2020 Cotswolds Wedding

Daisy and Luke Cotswolds Hotel and Spa March 2020 (20 of 70).jpg

We photographed Daisy and Luke’s wedding at Cotswolds Hotel and Spa (also called the Cotswolds Club) on 1st March 2020. Based just on the edge of Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds, this is a lovely venue with 114 hotel rooms, a marquee for the ceremony and a spa, not to mention a great golf course! Daisy had specifically requested no portraits or group photos for her wedding day, so, as we are documentary wedding photographers this was fine by us! Both bride and groom got ready at the venue, with Sam with Daisy and me with Luke. A wet and windy day meant most of the wedding took place indoors, and the ceremony in the large marquee at the venue. It also meant Daisy and her Dad came to the ceremony by golf buggy!

Daisy and Luke’s wedding was a really fun day and great to photograph, with their young son stealing the show in his scaled down Audi!

Below are a some of their wedding photos.

At the time of photographing this wedding, we could not have imaged the changes that were coming to life here in the UK due to Covid-19. At the time of writing (May 3rd), this was the last wedding we photographed. So far, we have worked with our couples to reschedule 21 weddings for this year. Take care everyone, and stay safe.

The St Edburgs Bicester and Waddesdon Dairy wedding photography of Gemma and Joe, photographed by Sam and Steve Photography.

A Christmas Bicester Church Wedding followed by a Waddesdon Dairy Reception

A Christmas Bride and Groom at their wedding at Waddesdon Dairy, Buckinghamshire.
Sam, Gemma described you the next day as her bridesmaid she never expected.
We are absolutely blown away by the pictures!! And these are just the previews!!.
We definitely need a days notice before all the photos are available because we need to go and stock up on tissues!
— Joe

We were thrilled to be the wedding photographers for Gemma and Joe for their Christmas 2019 wedding at St Edburg’s Church, Bicester and the Dairy at Waddesdon Manor, Buckinghamshire. As we are Bicester Wedding Photographers, we get to work at St Edburg’s Church regularly. Its always a pleasure to photograph there, with a clergy team that are relaxed about wedding photography, as long as the photographers are respectful to the service (which of course we always are). For Gemma and Joe’s wedding, Ian and Erica Biscoe (another husband and wife team) presided over the service.

As usual, our day started with Sam photographing bridal preparations with me, Steve, covering groom prep. I arrived at the church with the guys, in plenty of time to capture guests arriving. Sam arrived with the bridal party and took care of the arrival photos of the bridesmaids and bride. St Edburgs is a lovely church to photograph in, with lots of gorgeous light. I took up my position at the front and to the side of proceedings, whilst Sam photographed from the back of the church with our Fujifilm 50 to 140 mm lens.

After the church service, we all moved up the A41 about 10 miles to the wonderful wedding venue of Waddesdon Dairy. The Dairy is a beautiful venue, having for over 100 years been part of the Rothchild Family country estate. We had planned to go up to Waddesdon Manor itself for a few relaxed portraits; however this being a Saturday just before Christmas, the place was packed with pre-Christmas visitors! Instead, we used the lovely grounds of the Dairy itself, including its fine Christmas tree.

After the speeches, and a lovely meal, Gemma, Joe and all the guests enjoyed the dancing and partying to a very good band, the Blue Rinse.

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Gemma and Joe’s wedding; thanks for having us guys!

Below is a small sample of their photos.

Oxford Marquee Wedding Photography - Rebecca and Andrew

The Oxfordshire church and marquee wedding of Becky and Andy. Documentary style photography and videography from Oxfordshire wedding photographers Sam and Steve Photography

an islip, Oxford church wedding followed by a marquee in a family garden

Islip church wedding photography of a bride and groom being covered in confetti
Ahr these are brilliant thank you so much great quality. We enjoyed having you both! You are both so lovely.

— Becky and Andy

Becky and Andy’s Oxfordshire wedding in May 2019 had a distinctly Scottish flavour! Although Becky grew up near to Oxford, Andy and her both live near Inverness these days, where Becky works as a midwife and Andy is in the armed forces. Andy’s family, friends and work colleagues ensured that plenty of Highland attire and men in uniform were on show on the day!

As usual, Samantha started the day with Becky’s bridal preparations at her parents home. In the garden was the marquee for the reception. I went to a nearby pub, the Red Lion in Islip, where Andy was getting ready and he was meeting his groomsmen. For their church wedding, a piper was on attendance. After a lovely ceremony, and a guard of honour for their confetti run, Becky and Andy made the short journey to the marquee by means of a vintage Landrover. Plenty of party games were on show including, ferret racing, a first for us at a wedding! The couple were piped into the marquee for dinner. Highlight of the speeches was an amusing self written and performed song from Becky sister!

After the speeches, and an wonderfully executed first dance, lots of partying took place and as usual we stayed well into the evening to photograph the merriment.

It was an absolute pleasure to be Becky and Andy’s photographers. Here is a small sample of their wedding images.

We also were pleased to capture some video of the day for Becky and Andy. Although we are very much photographers firstly, when we are both in the same place one of us can shoot some video. We can also leave a camera on a tripod running for the ceremony and speeches. However, we would recommend a full time videographer if funds allow of course. You can see the video highlights package we gave them here:

Manor Farm Barn Wedding Photography - Paulette and Jason

The Manor Farm Barn Wedding of Paulette and Jason. Documentary wedding photography by Oxfordshire wedding photographers Sam and Steve Photography

Manor Farm Barn Marsh Gibbon Wedding Photography of a bride and groom

A spring wedding in a lovely Buckinghamshire Barn location

We are going back to May 2019 for the wedding of Paulette and Jason at Manor Farm Barn, Marsh Gibbon, Buckinghamshire. Marsh Gibbon is a nice village between Bicester and Aylesbury, and is on the border of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Manor Farm Barn is a family run wedding location, with the barn itself dating back to 1592. By 2002 it had fallen into disrepair; however that’s when the current owners the Benfield family decided to make it into a dedicated wedding venue. The first wedding, in 2005, was their daughter’s, Vikki, and it is Vikki that now does a fabulous job of running the business. Her care and attention to detail shines through with every wedding. We are pleased to be a recommended supplier at Manor Farm Barn.

For Paulette and Jason’s wedding, Sam photographed the bride getting ready as usual, whilst I met the groom at the barn as he arrived. They were blessed with a lovely spring day, which allowed plenty of opportunity for their guests to enjoy the outdoor space at the venue, and for us to take some unposed portraits of them in an adjacent field of cow parsley.

We loved photographing their wedding, and they have since become good friends of ours.

Here are some of the images from their day.
